Hello Sweeties! Today I wanted to have a lil chat with you all. I personally love these posts. The sit down with a cup of tea and ramble my thoughts onto a fresh blog post. I love the casualness of these posts, and just sharing my thoughts with you guys brings me so much joy. Today's topic is spots. A very broad title, I'm sure you're all aware. Today I wanted yo share my thoughts on the topic of spots and how they can affect your self-esteem - maybe give you all a little confidence booster or a few words of encouragement :) Other than that it;s basically a Sweet As Mae ramble with meaning haha!

The Sneaker Series

Hello Sweeties! I feel like I'm living in the generation of sneakers and trainers. It's like everyone has dropped the Gucci pumps (like I ever had any of those . . . . haha!) for some Adidas Superstars or Nike Roshes, and I have to say I'm a lover of the trainer trend. The day that comfortable, cute trainers were in fashion I was one happy girl! I'm a big shoe lover at the best of times, but comfortable AND pleasing to look at? I'm sold! I didn't think it was fair to be loving this many sneakers without sharing my favourites with you guys, so here it is! The Sneaker series.

Hello sweeties! As many of you know, I kinda sorta went OTT on the makeup purchases when i was in the states last month (see my makeup hauls here and here). I've been trying out a ton of the new makeup products recently, and I knew I had to share my thoughts on them with you. Hello Sweeties! Most of you reading this will probably have at least one instagram account. You know, that social media platform where you pretend your life is that little bit more interesting than it actually is through photos (I know I for sure do that every so often ;) ). USA Clothing & Stuff Haul

Hello Sweeties! Although a lot of my USA spending was down to makeup (see my two USA Makeup hauls here and here), I did purchase some clothing items that were super unique and different to NZ clothing. Twas' a long day! Our flight back to NZ wasn't until 9:30pm so we had a whole day just waiting to get home. We were all super tired so as you can imagine it was a little tense! We went and saw the Painted Ladies in the morning, they were so so pretty and I got some cool shots of the vintage houses. My brother, dad and I had a look into the science museum while my mum and sister popped into the art gallery. The museum was pretty cool, it had a mini aquarium and an indoor rain forest section.

July 12th

Today was my last full day in America. Although the thought of leaving the states made me sad I still enjoyed the day, it was a lovely way to spend our final day here. I started off the day going to Brandy Melville with my dad to give my mum a break (because I hadn't done enough shopping already), it wasn't in the West fields more we I did most of my shopping so I went there this morning. It was such a cool store, really retro and unique and the style was so different to anything I've ever seen before. The biggest range of 2016 hits 1970's items, I loved it all so much! 

USA Diary: Shopping Round Two!

July 11th, 2016

Today was round two of shopping! I was so so pumped because it was the day for MAC and Sephora, plus some more clothes shopping. I started off at Walgreens to stock up on some Real techniques makeup brushes and some drugstore makeup. I spent a good hour and a half in Sephora, filling up my little basket with all the amazing makeup goodies. I was literally in heaven, I'll never forget how amazing it felt to see all those beautiful products in the flesh (see my USA makeup hauls here and here). MAC was also really good, I treated myself to a few products from there but I didn't go for a super splurge since you can buy MAC in NZ - just for a ridiculous price!

Started this morning with an amazing brunch at our hotels buffet. Smoothies, croissants, waffles, I always find buffets quite dangerous because there's so much to eat. I always get carried away and end up feeling a tad overfull! Had a little relax time back in our rooms before heading out on our San Francisco City bus Tour! 

USA Diary: The Biggest Shopping Trip!

Today was finally the day! It was Mae's Shopping Marathon. Seriously though, it was probably the best day of my life! My mum, sister and I headed down to West fields San Francisco nice and early and had a snack before starting the shopping. The mall was seven stories high, three of which were Nordstrom alone.

Yet another early morning start today as we got packed up and said goodbye Vegas, hello San Francisco! First impressions? San Francisco is so cool! All the houses are so beautiful and everything about it so different to any other place I've been before. It's such a colourful and quirky place.

Hello Sweeties! Part two of my USA Makeup and Beauty Haul is finally here! I'm trying my absolute best to get all my America posts done and dusted so we can get back into normal posts. Never did I expect my computer to break. Twice. But I guess you just have to go with the flow, right?
