Accessorizing: Rings // Sweet As Mae

April 24, 2016

Rings are a timeless accessory for me. They've always been up there with my favourite jewelry/accessory, and I feel like lately rings have really been in the fashion spotlight.

I'm not complaining, an excuse to spend a little more on that Karen Walker ring I've been wanting? Fine by me! However when it comes to rings you don't need a huge budget, or a high end brand. I find that rings are so versatile and all the rings I'm sharing with you today are from high street/affordable brands and shops.

The Infinity Ring: A cult classic when it comes to rings, I personally love infinity rings. The three I have shown here came in a set from Lovisa, and the was about $10 NZD. The set includes three infinity rings in rose gold (personal fave), silver and gold. Of course these rings are plated and may not last as well as a Pandora style piece, but they have a range of sizes and are comfortable to wear. This set checks all the boxes for me!

String of Leaves Ring: I am a lover of flower, leaf and animal rings myself, and this one caught my eye in particular. This was also from Lovisa, because I find that they have an amazing selection of rings. They often have a big stand just full of single rings for about $3-$4 NZD each, and there's always unique designs! This ring is silver and features a little string of leaves in the middle. It's quite beautiful because it's simple but a little different.

Twisted Heart Ring: This last one isn't super trendy or anything, but I think it's just stunning! The actual ring is gold and twisted like a little bit of string, plus it features a little gold heart in the middle. This is my favourite ring because it's something a bit different and it just so pretty in it's simple design. I bought this ring from Equip but unfortuanately all Equip stores recently shut down (sad face), but I'm sure there are similar designs on Ebay, Asos and other accessory stores.

What are your favourite ring shops and brands?
