Three Winter Picks // Sweet As Mae

June 19, 2016

Hello Sweeties! Although I'm a huge fan of play suits and skirts in Summer, I can't deny my love for Winter fashion. This week I wanted to dedicate a post to sharing my top three Winter style picks with you guys.

One of my all time faves, the classic pinafore. They're so easy to style and you can wear them all year round, plus they're available in so many different styles and colours. This one is from Glassons and it's no longer available online but may be in store. I really love this timeless blue denim style pinafore because it has an A-line skirt with buttons up the side. Perfect length for me and a lovely fit too! I like to pair it up with a turtle neck top (see my post on roll necks here), tights and ankle boots in Winter.

You can't go wrong with a chunky knit cardi (at least in my opinion). It goes with almost every outfit and it is actually warm - a stylish piece of clothing that provides warmth too? Um, yes please? I love the khaki green shade too, it's a great way for us monochrome girls out there to expand a little in the colour area!

I did  a whole post on my love for ripped jeans (see it here) and these were featured in two of the outfits. They're just perfect for me personally. Decent amount of rip without having gaping holes that freeze your knees off - just that ideal hole-with-threads style. Blue jeans, my favourite, perfect length, goes with everything  . . . I have practically been living in these jeans recently.

What is your favourite Winter clothing item?

  1. I think playsuits can work for summer or winter if you pair them up with other things. In summer i wear them with loose tshirts and with burgundy jumpers in winter xx

  2. Playsuits are amazing, I love them! The only thing I wouldn't buy are the ripped jeans, I find they break apart too quickly...

    1. That is one down side of ripped jeans, it's a bit annoying paying for an item you know will break!

  3. Love the ripped jeans! I have a pair of those ones from cotton on but in a dark denim. Recently have been wearing leggings non stop as they are just so comfy :)
