USA MAKEUP & BEAUTY HAUL PART TWO

August 05, 2016

Hello Sweeties! Part two of my USA Makeup and Beauty Haul is finally here! I'm trying my absolute best to get all my America posts done and dusted so we can get back into normal posts. Never did I expect my computer to break. Twice. But I guess you just have to go with the flow, right? As per usual I'm not trying to show off with this haul, merely share some purchases for you guys to give you some makeup-spiration :) This will be another makeup ramble so sit back, relax and get ready to witness some serious makeup porn!

THE PRODUCTS: (ROUND TWO)

BROWS:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz - Medium Brown USD $21

I knew I wanted a brow product that was both quick and easy to use. I was pretty torn between this and the newer Brow Definer by Anastasia Beverly Hills but I went for this product since it's so many people's H.O even after the newer pencil's release. I went for the shade Medium Brown, a cool, dark brown shade that matches my brows perfectly. I know you can get this online in NZ but it's a whole lot cheaper in the states and easily available.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brush - #12 USD $18

This product was a slightly accidental purchase, but I don't exactly regret it. I had been in Sephora for so long my brow section was a little rushed, and I completely forgot that the Brow Wiz has a spoolie. I knew that this was a popular brush so I grabbed the last one asap. When I got back to the hotel and realised the brow wiz already had a spoolie, I felt so dumb I didn't want to take it back! But I"ll definitely still get use out of this; the brush end is really lovely and dense so it will be perfect for my pomade products, when I want to spend a little longer on my brows :)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel - USD $22

I know there's a bit of a theme here - what can I say, Anastasia does amazing brow products! I have a couple of clear brow gels from drugstore brands which are a good affordable option, but I wanted to invest on one that could do a little more. Tinted brow gels aren't for me, so I picked this one up as it's said to have amazing lasting powder and to properly set your brows! Plus beautiful packaging (bonus!)

EYES:

Shades from top of arm to bottom: Semi Sweet, Marzipan, Salted Caramel, Triple Fudge, Black Forest Truffle, Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, Gilded Ganache

Shades from top of arm to bottom: Champagne Truffle, Cherry Cordial, Haute Chocolate, Creme Brulee, Hazelnut, Amaretto, Candied Violet, Strawberry Bon Bon

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette - USD $49.99

This is 100% one of my fave items of the lot - and probably my most precious! It was pretty expensive but well worth the money in my opinion. I really wanted to get a good quality palette so I could experiment with eye shadows a little more. Since I'm only fourteen I don't use this on a daily basis, but it's really fun to try new looks and to do a little something when going out at night! I HAVE to do a full review of this, but I've included swatches for you guys in this post :) Such a creative concept, the palette smells amazing and the packaging is again lovely.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara Set - USD $24

Ok talk about a bargain! This set is a limited edition pack at Sephora, and you basically get a full size roller lash PLUS a mini one for the price of one full size Roller Lash! Such a good deal because the mini versions are USD $12. This mascara has amazing reviews and it sounds right up my street. I love mascaras that really separate and curl your lashes; I'm not really an intense volume kinda gal, so this is pretty much my dream mascara!

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Eyeliner - Nude USD $3.50

Judge me all you want, I know how easily available these are in NZ and not for a crazy price either. But I really wanted it then and there and it was SO cheap I couldn't help myself! It's a plain nude eyeliner, I've wanted one for ages to put on my waterline to brighten and open my eyes. I was going to get one from Sephora but Rimmel has a pretty good rep when it comes to eyeliners so I went for the more affordable option!

BRUSHES:

Real Techniques is one of my all-time favourite makeup brush brands. Their products are amazing quality, but unfortunately they're crazy expensive in NZ. In the states they're drugstore prices, so I stocked up while I could!

Blush Brush - USD $8.99
Stippling Brush - USD $9.99
Powder Brush - USD $9.99
Starter Eye shadow brush set - USD $17.99
Miracle Complexion Sponge - USD $5.99

OTHER:

Essie Nail Polish - Mint Candy Apple USD $9

I love Essie nail polishes - pretty colours that dry quickly and last long. Pretty much the whole polish package if you ask me! I've been eyeing up this shade for absolutely ages, but they're so much cheaper in the states I managed to wait! I am obsessed with this mint shade, a really beautiful pastel greeny blue colour, plus it's quite unique.

Essie Nail Polish - Penny Talk USD $9

A shade I have loved for over a year now, this is an Essie polish you CANNOT buy in NZ anymore. I got mine off trade me because it's not an easily accessible shade here in NZ, and wherever it's sold it's ridiculously overpriced. I am nowhere near out of my other bottle but I bought another one to stock up! It's a stunning coppery/rose gold shade and I haven't seen a good quality copper polish like it. Now with my fresh bottle I will have rose gold nails for years to come!

Victoria Secret Eau de Parfum Rollerball - Bombshell - USD $18

I've really been trying to expand my perfume collection recently, rollerballs in particular. I find they're perfect for travel and they're an awesome way to try out scents. I coulnd't go to a VS store and not pick up a fragrance. I went for the original Bombshell fragrance which is so lovely! I can't describe scents to save my life, but I would say it's very feminine and quite floral. It's said to have notes of purple passion fruit, peony and vanilla orchid, which I definitely agree with!
